Video Analytics

Video Analytics, also referred to as Video Content Analysis (VCA), is a generic term used to describe computerized processing and analysis of video streams. Simply put, in the surveillance industry it is used to identify objects (such as cars and people), monitor their behavior and generate an alarm when specific rules are broken.  For example If a person is walking in an area and climbs over a fence (which is prohibited), in would automatically notify the security post of the problem for action to be taken.  Video Analytics turns your security system into a proactive security system rather than a reactive one. Typical examples of behaviours that can be assessed include:

• Loitering
• Tailgating
• Suspicious Object
• People & Vehicle Counting
